Sequoia Park Garden Eureka, California

Hello ~ We are looking for a way to keep this project going.  We have commited with the city to continue tending and planting the garden through December 2011. It is fairly expensive to keep the garden looking great but we are certain it is worth it when we see the many seniors, families and neighbors stroll through.   We have had some very dedicated photographers who spend an hour or so photographing!

We need to get flowers to replace the ones that die or are taken.  We are also trying to get Miracle Grow (weekly application) and Sluggo when needed.  Green Lot Nursury has agreed to take donations and have a credit account in our name.  Any donations will be used to buy either flowers, miracle grow or sluggo.

See you in the garden!  We are there almost every day!

UPDATE:  On September 16 we met Sue from Greenlot Nursery,  the Moose Lodge representive, Daniel Swenson (and his photographer wife, Neva) at the garden.  They presented a check for $1000.00 to Sue at Greenlot Nursery.  She will keep a running account for us.  We'll be getting most of our supplies there.  We are so excited about the funding!!!  David offered to come to the Moose to speak if they wished.  (David is good at public speaking.. I am NOT)   If other donations come in they will allow us to stretch the Moose gift.
