Sequoia Park Garden Eureka, California

JOIN THE SEQUOIA PARK ZOO FOUNDATION

The Zoo is one of Eureka's treasures. It was established in the 1900's and is very popular with all ages.   The monkeys always seem to have a lot of people watching them and the bear Rosie has a little fan club as well.  The newest additions, Red Pandas, are fed daily around 4-4:30.  They are so cute to watch.  A fairly large crowd gather every day to see them eat.  As people walk out they often stop at the gift shop or snack bar.

We eat at the Zoo snack bar almost daily.  Their hamburgers are first rate.  The onion rings are from a family recipe of OH Bass!  They also have ice cream cones and snow cones.   A good break during your visit to the zoo or even eat lunch there during your work week.  They have quite a few lunch regulars.

You can either pay the zoo admission or become a member of the zoo foundation.  The membership price is good for one year:  it supports the zoo and their activies.  By joining you get benefits: free admission, 10% off at the Gift Shop, 10% discount on educational classes, Zoo Chatter magazine, invitations to events, Discounts on room rentals, Discounted admission to other zoos.
