Sequoia Park Garden Eureka, California

The garden with no flowers and seed/plant inhibitor on the surface.  To plant we took the top 3-4 inches off and replaced it with zoo poo compost.  A local garden club is going to plant the front area

The very back row is cennaras and the next row up is laventera.  We thought the laventera would never bloom although it did get big.  The daisies are small and look so puny.  Middle section is bare as we haven't planted it yet.  It was hard to decide what to plant.   We wanted something big and showey but there were also budget constraints.  We needed to find the plants in pony packs (6 small plants to a pack) so it cut the cost.

Beautiful garden .... the photographers seem to linger over the quads and their bright flowers.  The very front area (shown to the left ... is still bare as a garden club is supposed to plant it.  (They have held it since March)

Laventera on the first row .... it covers the now puny cennaras although we have purchased and planted some yellow mums to fill the area in.  The center area is planted with gloriosa daisies, pink daisies, and pink petunias with maroon centers. Each week we fertilize plus we try to deadhead daily.  We put in about 40 hours per week.
